thirty60 is a unique Melbourne based stencil artist. His work can be described as a fusion between street and fine art. He creates his artwork using hand painted stencils and traditional watercolour techniques. This means each stencil is single use. And painting with ink means each piece is individual. The end result relies on how the ink merges and reacts with the painting surface and the stencil. He works on a variety of surfaces including paper, stone, wood panels and skateboards.
thirty60 has been involved in several exhibitions around the country, including; iHart, the Three Sixty Project, Brunswick Street Gallery, COMA Gallery and the Men with Beards group show at Off the Kerb. His work was selected as best in show by Curvy Magazine in the Fables and Fairytales exhibition at Artboy gallery and in 2012 had two pieces shortlisted for the Australian Stencil Art Prize.
thirty60 has been featured on several art and design websites and blogs; Lost at E minor, Curvy, Desktop magazine, the People's Market, OnStone and the Austraian Stencil Art Prize.
