Meg Kolac is a Melbourne based Illustrator who creates artworks matching simplicity and elegance with fun, quirkiness and a hint of retro. Bold and expressive brush strokes are accented with splashes of colour to breathe life into each piece. Her works are figurative with a fashion focus and are predominantly inks on watercolour paper.
Meg has held a number of exhibitions of her own work around Melbourne and has featured at Brunswick Street Gallery, JamGrass Music Festival, Schoolhouse Studios for the Melbourne Fringe Festival and Melbourne Fashion Festival events including Windows By Design in 2014, We Wear Future in 2015 and she ran a series of Live Drawing sessions as part of the Virgin Australia Melbourne Fashion Festival Cultural Program this year.
Meg has tutored in Fashion Illustration at RMIT University for the Fashion Degree course and she holds Fashion Life Drawing workshops.
She works as a Designer in the commercial fashion industry and is currently putting all her energy into her love for illustration, working towards making it her number one, one brush stroke at a time!
